Cats fill animal shelter, adoption fees cut

LEWISTON — The Greater Androscoggin Humane Society has so many adult cats and so little room left for them that over the weekend it dropped its adoption fee, offering the cats free to good homes.

Stray cats causing problems for Comanche

Cats have been dumped onto county roads outside of Comanche. What’s worse, the city employees who were caught in the act, said the city manager ordered it after the cats were caught inside the city limits.

The 28 cats seized from a local Motel 6 by Animal Control on June 16 will remain in the care of the Central Missouri Humane Society for the time being.

TROY – Two friendly, healthy cats are in need of a home after a South Troy resident found them dumped behind Old Brick Furniture in Troy. Rose Neander of Third Street discovered the cats while walking her dog last Saturday after seeing a red car parked behind the building.
